SIDELINE BEHAVIOR

Creating a positive, respectful environment on the soccer field starts with everyone—parents, coaches, and players. The way we behave on the sidelines can have a powerful impact on the development, confidence, and enjoyment of young athletes.

Below you’ll find helpful guidelines for parents, coaches, and players that outline how to conduct ourselves before, during, and after games. Together, we can build a safe, supportive, and sportsmanlike atmosphere for everyone involved.

PARENTS

How to encourage your player, show respect for the game, and interact appropriately with referees, coaches, and opposing teams.

COACHES

Leadership strategies, communication tips, and how to set the tone for respectful competition and player development.

PLAYERS

Emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, effort, and how to represent your team with pride—on and off the field.

FINANCIAL AID

Avalanche Soccer Club believes that every player should have the opportunity to participate in soccer regardless of financial circumstances. A limited amount of financial aid is available each season to help families offset the cost of club participation.

Financial aid awards range from 25%–50% of club registration fees and are granted based on demonstrated financial need, available funding, and the number of applicants. Avalanche financial aid applies to club registration fees only.

Applying for Avalanche Financial Aid

To apply for Avalanche financial aid for club fees, follow these steps within PlayMetrics. Families will be notified through PlayMetrics if their player has been awarded financial aid, and any approved aid will be applied directly to the player's account during registration.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities

Avalanche Soccer Club is also proud to partner with Chance Sports, an organization dedicated to expanding access to youth sports for families facing financial barriers. Through this partnership, eligible families may have access to additional scholarship opportunities that help ensure players can continue participating and benefiting from the game of soccer. CLICK HERE to access the Chance Sports scholarship application.

Families are encouraged to apply for both Avalanche Financial Aid and external scholarship opportunities, as funding sources may be combined, when permitted, to help reduce the overall cost of participation.
