  • Aldo DelPiccolo

    Executive Director

Aldo was raised in a family of six siblings in Arvada Colorado.  He was introduced to the game of soccer by his father, Mario, who immigrated from Italy and whose sport passion was soccer.  In 1973, he played for Arvada West High School before the sport was officially sanctioned by CHSAA in 1974. His passion for the game helped earn him a scholarship to UCLA, where he competed for four years with the Bruins. After graduation, Aldo returned to Colorado and helped establish a team in the Colorado Amateur Soccer League. Sponsored by the Order of Sons of Italy, the team—known as OSIA—was a top competitor for many years.

Aldo’s coaching career began in the early 1980s, and has never stopped.  In 1995, Aldo joined Wheat Ridge Avalanche Soccer Club and became active in many roles both on the board and as a coach. Since then, he has remained a dedicated leader and mentor within the club, actively coaching and serving on the boards of both Avalanche Soccer Club and the Colorado Soccer Association.  He is passionate about facilitating the game of soccer to whoever, whenever and wherever possible.
